Costa Rica | Palm Oil Plantation

Monday, July 10, 2017

On my trip to Costa Rica my partner and I were driving around everywhere seeing rows and rows of these absurdly straight rows deep in the rainforest. Even on a rainforest tour we were seeing cleared areas of rainforest with straight little rows of these squat little plants in various stages of maturity. Finally we pulled over and asked the locals and figured out what we'd been seeing all over the place.

San Jose Costa Rica | La Boda!

Saturday, July 8, 2017

After all of our sloth watching, sunbathing (or in my case, sunburning), and snorkeling in the rainforest, it was time to head back to the city, wash off the sand and suit up for the wedding we'd come all this way for. And man, was it a banger.

Thursday, July 6, 2017

When you wake up you a view like this, you get pretty desperate to get out on the water. After debating between a few excursion options, we settled on snorkeling. I EAT TOURISTS 4 DINNER.

We woke up early the first day in Costa Rica our hotel to get ready for our awesome adventure! Heading to breakfast we were confronted with one interesting surprise right out of the gate- the hotel we'd picked was apparently an Iguana sanctuary. Everywhere you looked the entire time we were there- IGUANAS!

I'M IN ANOTHER COUNTRY!
I haven't done a lot of foreign travel. But I always jump at the opportunity! Which is why when my partner was invited to a coworkers' wedding in Costa Rica, I jumped at the chance to go along as his "plus one." Despite having never met the bride nor the groom, I bought a plane ticket and cashed in all my vacation days, and here we are! Ashlyn, professional wedding date to the rescue.

Dumping the Drop Ceiling

As much as I love my house, there is one major feature that I don't love- the drop ceiling!  Unfortunately it's a prominent feature ...
